Tushar Deshpande brings out Dwayne Bravo’s celebration after dismissing Andre Russell

Tushar Deshpande, on Monday (April 8), starred with the ball for Chennai Super Kings in their ongoing game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

He picked up three wickets as CSK managed to restrict the free-scoring KKR to a modest total of 137/9 in the allotted 20 overs. After Ruturaj Gaikwad opted to bowl first, Tushar Deshpande justified his captain’s call by striking on the very first ball. The right-arm pacer dismissed the dangerous Phil Salt on the very first ball of the game.

After impressing in the first over, he impressed in the death overs as well. In the 17th over, he conceded just four runs and picked up the big wicket of Rinku Singh. In the 19th over, he made an impact once again by dismissing the dangerous Andre Russell. After starting with a wide and getting hit for a four on the first ball, the right-arm pacer dismissed the in-form West Indies allrounder on the second ball.

It was fullish delivery from Tushar Deshpande and Russell ended up hitting the ball straight to Daryl Mitchell at long-on. And with Tushar Deshpande impressing in the death overs, CSK’s bowling coach Dwayne Bravo stood up and clapped for him in the dugout. The fast-bowler also gave credit to the coach by bringing out the former West Indies allrounder’s celebration.

Watch the celebration from Tushar Deshpande:

Talking about the game, CSK were on 7 for no loss in the second over at the time of writing this report. The Chennai-based outfit will be desperate to win the game to get back to winning ways after losing their last two games. They started their campaign with two wins at home before losing the away games against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

On the other hand, KKR have won their first three games in IPL 2024 and will be looking to deliver a good performance with the ball to pull off an unlikely win and maintain their unbeaten start.
