Rohit Sharma’s entertainment with bat ends with a blinder from Reece Topley

Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Rohit Sharma yet again played a decent knock for his team with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The 25th game of the tournament between the Hardik Pandya-led side and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru is taking place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rohit Sharma, who opened the innings for Mumbai Indians, gave a valiant start to his team with the bat. In the chase of 197, the opening batter played some magnificent shots in his innings and added a 101-run partnership with Ishan Kishan, who slammed a brutal half-century and ended with 69 runs.

After Ishan Kishan got out, Rohit Sharma was looking to decimate the Royal Challengers Bengaluru bowlers. With the way, he was batting, it required something special to remove him and Reece Topley did exactly that at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

During the 2nd ball of the 12th over, Will Jacks bowled a full ball around the middle. Rohit Sharma tried to sweep it and dragged it behind the square. The RCB bowler Reece Topley took an absolute screamer at short fine leg, diving across to his left. He reached out with one hand and clutched it right at the end of his fingers.
