Mayank Yadav injury update: Krunal Pandya shares latest on Lucknow Super Giants’s bowling sensation | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Lucknow Super Giants’s (LSG) all-rounder Krunal Pandya offered reassurance regarding the health of the team’s rising star, Mayank Yadav, who walked off the field during their match against Gujarat Titans (GT). Despite concerns over Yadav’s departure, Pandya affirmed, “He seemed okay, which was quite a relief for us.”
Speaking about Yadav’s promising talent, Pandya lauded the young pacer, describing him as a “bright prospect” with a commendable demeanor.”I had been watching him for the last two years. He used to bowl gun in the nets. Whatever conversation I have had, he has a good head on his shoulders,” Pandya remarked.

Yadav’s meteoric rise has captured attention, especially his remarkable pace, exceeding 150 kmph consistently. In the recent match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Yadav’s exceptional performance earned him the ‘Player of the Match’ title, becoming the first bowler in IPL history to achieve this in his first two matches. Clocking speeds of 156.7 kmph, he set a record for the fastest delivery in the ongoing tournament.

Furthermore, Yadav’s impeccable line and length, along with his intimidating presence on the field, have cemented his reputation as a promising talent. His consecutive three-wicket hauls in the initial matches have also placed him among elite bowlers in IPL history.
In the clash against GT, LSG secured a 33-run victory, courtesy of a fine batting display led by skipper KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis. Despite GT’s promising start, pacer Yash Thakur‘s five-wicket haul and Pandya’s economical bowling dismantled their batting lineup, securing LSG’s third win of the season.
