India captain Rohit Sharma posted a dazzling picture with the youngsters of the team after the series win over England. They sealed the series by the margin of 4-1 after a stellar win at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
The long India vs England series finally concluded and it ended in the favour of Rohit Sharma’s army. After losing the first match of the series, the way the hosts made a comeback was nothing short of exceptional with all the challenges that faced.
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul missed the series, Ravindra Jadeja missed one game due to injury and also Shreyas Iyer got dropped as well. With all the challenges around and with young players in the team, Rohit Sharma & Co overcame the Bazball challenge and handed Ben Stokes his first-ever series loss as captain.
The youngsters in Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Devdutt Padikkal, and others chipped in at vital stages for the Indians and helped the team win the game. Even when hosts were down, they stood tall and soaked in all the pressure.
One of the highlights of the series was the way Rohit Sharma led the team and showed confidence in youngsters. The young players, in turn, made sure that they repaid the faith of the captain and bailed the team out of trouble in difficult times.
Rohit Sharma led from the front as well and he amassed over 400 runs in the series. After bagging failures in the two games, the captain made sure that he stepped up for the team and helped the team win. He blasted a magnificent century in which the Rajkot team was struggling.
In the next game in Ranchi, he slammed a vital half-century for the team in the chase before scoring a terrific century in Dharamsala. Rohit Sharma mustered 400 runs at an average of 44.4 to go with two centuries and one half-century.

During the post-match presentation, Rohit Sharma lauded the youngsters of the team, admitting that they were short of experience but they have played a lot of domestic cricket. He had said:
“These guys are maybe short of experience, they have played a lot of cricket and I can stand here and see that these guys responded pretty well under pressure. The credit goes to the entire team and it was pleasing to see. When you win a series like this, we talk about scoring runs and 100s but it is important to take 20 wickets to win a Test. The way bowlers took responsibility was pleasing to see.”
Yashasvi Jaiswal ended the series as the leading run-getter with 712 runs to his name. Shubman Gill was second on the charts with 452 runs. Also, Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel slammed crucial half-centuries for the team.
