NEW DELHI: One of the biggest cricketers in Bangladesh, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan recently found himself in an awkward situation when he was seen yawning on stage and taking uninterested selfies with fans during an election campaign.
Shakib recently entered politics in the country as he became a part of the Awami League, the ruling party in Bangladesh.
In what looked like an election campaign ahead of the upcoming 204 elections in Bangladesh, Shakib was seen on stage during the event and when young fans came to take selfies, gave them an uninterested look. Soon after the incident, the hilarious Shakib video immediately went viral on social media.

Shakib, 36, has been actively campaigning for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ruling party and the outcome of the elections is almost certain.
Shakib recently said he was not facing any serious hurdle to his election but admitted it made him a bit anxious.
“The competition and challenges are always there, be it a small team or big team,” he said in his hometown Magura, where he is contesting a seat for Hasina’s Awami League.
“Even when we know we will win against a team, we still feel our heart beat before the game.”
Shakib has been away from cricket due to upcoming elections.
