Former Indian batter Ambati Rayudu was impressed by Mayank’s bowling performance against RCB. Mayank’s fiery pace, consistently exceeding 150 kmph, stood out as he claimed three wickets while conceding only 14 runs in his four-over spell.
Rayudu, commenting via Star Sports, hailed Mayank’s potential, stating, “Mayank Yadav has a bright future.” However, Rayudu also emphasized the importance of monitoring the right arm pacer’s performance throughout the season to see how his body handles the workload.

Mayank’s impressive show in the tournament
Mayank’s IPL debut was a dream come true. Making his first appearance for the Super Giants against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 30th, he showcased exceptional bowling, claiming three wickets and turning the tide of the match. This stellar performance earned him the coveted Man of the Match award.
He continued his impressive form in his second appearance for LSG against RCB, once again bagging three wickets and conceding a mere 14 runs in his four-over spell. This dominant display saw him repeat the feat of winning the Man of the Match award. Notably, Mayank also claimed the record for the fastest delivery of the season, clocking in at an impressive 156.7 kmph.
