Yogi Adityanath distributes portfolios, keeps 34 for himself

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday distributed portfolios to his newly-inducted ministers, maintaining the biggest share for himself.

As per the official launch, the Chief Minister has retained residence, vigilance, income, common administration, info, property division, institutional finance, Sachivalaya administration, mining, meals safety, housing, civil aviation and regulation, amongst others.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Maurya has been allotted rural improvement, rural engineering, nationwide integration, meals processing and leisure tax. Maurya held the all-important PWD portfolio within the earlier regime.

One other Deputy CM, Brajesh Pathak, has been given medical training, well being and household welfare.

Senior minister Suresh Khanna retains his parliamentary affairs and finance portfolios. Surya Pratap Shahi will get his agriculture portfolio, whereas Swatantra Dev Singh will get the all-important Jal Shakti ministry.

Child Rani Maurya has been given ladies and baby welfare division, whereas Chaudhary Laxmi Narain has been given cost of the cane improvement ministry.

Dharampal Singh acquired dairy improvement, whereas Jaiveer Singh acquired tourism.

Jitin Prasada has been given the essential PWD ministry, whereas Nand Gopal Nandi acquired industrial improvement.

Sanjay Nishad has been allotted the fisheries division, whereas Asheesh Patel acquired technical training. Nitin Agarwal has been given excise.

Aseem Arun, a former IPS officer, has been given social welfare ministry whereas Daya Shankar Singh acquired transport.

Danish Azad, the lone Muslim minister, has been made accountable for the minority welfare division.
